Hunt Of A Lifetime - Taxidermy Agreement
Dear Hunt of a Lifetime Friend,
My name is Randy Mitchell and I am the Hunt of a Lifetime National Taxidermy Coordinator. HOAL has numerous qualified Taxidermists from most every state who have donated their time and expertise to mount your trophy. I would like to take this opportunity to explain to you how HOAL's taxidermy program works.
Approximately 2 weeks prior to leaving for your trip, you need to contact me either by phone at 989-828-6006 or by email at hidetanner@msn.com . I can then make the appropriate arrangements with the Tannery and Taxidermist doing your mount.
The child who is going on an HOAL adventure is eligible to have their own trophy mounted. HOAL does not provide Taxidermy services to any one accompanying the child. Due to the variety and size of the species of animals being hunted, or fish being caught, and to make sure we have enough resources to cover every child, HOAL has set guide lines for Taxidermy work. They are as follows:
All NON-Horned Big and Medium Mammals (Bear, Coyote, Cougar, Lion, etc.) - choice of 1 rug with open or closed mouth w/ 2 colors of felt OR1 shoulder mount with open or closed mouth.
All Antlered Game and / or Horned Mammals from Foreign or Domestic origin (Deer, Caribou, Antelope, Goat, etc.) - Up to 2 trophies can have shoulder mounts with closed mouth.
Saltwater Fish - 1 Replica of your trophy fish.
Freshwater Fish - Up to 2 Replicas of your trophy fish.
Birds - 1 Mounted trophy.
HOAL will arrange the Taxidermy for the HOAL Child on up to 2 mounts total. Any other additional trophies will be the responsibility of the child's parent or guardian. If you have a preferred Taxidermist who would like to do your mounts, please have them contact me before your trip.
All Taxidermy work is to be done in the U.S. by a participating HOAL Taxidermist. Do not have your trophies mounted in a foreign country or by a non-participating Taxidermist. HOAL will not cover foreign Taxidermy charges and/or shipping of finished mounts from foreign countries.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this information. Have a safe and enjoyable adventure.
Sincerely,
Randy Mitchell
Hunt of a Lifetime National Taxidermy Coordinator
